Lucknow, 11 August

(H.S.): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath prayed to Lord Shiva on

Shivratri during the holy month of Shravan and bestowed his blessings on the

people of the state. He commanded that sufficient security and measures be made

to ensure the safety of Shiva devotees and Kanwariyas. As the leader of the

Nath sect Yogi Peeth Gorakhpeeth, he focuses on the Kanwar Yatra and serving

Shiva devotees. Shravan Shivratri is devoted to Lord Shiva, with Rudrabhishek

and specific rites conducted.

The Kanwar Yatra

was praised as an outstanding example of national cohesion, with participants

crossing caste and geographical lines. Social media users sent public

congratulations, calling the holy month of Shravan as a time for spiritual

devotion and public benefit.

In a post on X, UP

CM opined, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all devotees of Lord

Shiva and the residents of the state on the sacred Shravan Shivratri dedicated

to the worship of Devadhidev Mahadev. May the boundless grace of Lord Bholenath

illuminate the life of every citizen with happiness, peace, prosperity, health,

and glory, and may all their heartfelt wishes be fulfilled—this is the prayer. Har

Har Mahadev!”
