New Delhi/Mumbai, 06 July (H.S.): Saudi Arabia's national carrier, Riyadh Air, on Monday announced the launch of its operations in India. The airline will commence daily non-stop flights between Riyadh and Mumbai from August 4, with bookings opening on July 6.

In a statement, the airline said the new daily Mumbai–Riyadh service will be operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The flights will offer four cabin classes—Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy—providing passengers with a range of travel options.

Riyadh Air said the addition of the Mumbai route will expand its network to nine destinations, supporting its strategy of strengthening connectivity between Saudi Arabia and major international and regional hubs.

The airline added that passengers travelling from Mumbai will be able to connect through Riyadh to several destinations across Europe and the Middle East, including London, Madrid, Jeddah, and Cairo.

Backed by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Riyadh Air said the launch of the Mumbai route underscores its long-term commitment to India, one of the world's largest and fastest-growing aviation markets.

The airline said the new service is expected to cater to business travellers, tourists, and the large expatriate communities travelling between India and Saudi Arabia, while further enhancing economic and people-to-people connectivity between the two countries.
