New Delhi, 06 July (H.S.): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday submitted before the Patiala House Court the forensic reports relating to the 11 people who were killed in the Red Fort blast case. Principal District and Sessions Judge Pitambar Datt directed that the matter concerning the forensic reports will be heard on July 13.
The court also extended the judicial custody of the nine accused in the case until July 13.
Earlier, on June 27, the NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet, naming three additional accused. With the filing of the supplementary chargesheet, the total number of accused in the case has risen to 13.
The supplementary chargesheet names Zameer Ahmad Ahangar, Tufail Ahmad Bhatt, and Muzaffar Ahmad alias Faraz alias Zafar, all residents of Jammu, as accused in the case.
The NIA had earlier filed its first chargesheet on May 14, naming ten accused. According to the agency, 11 people were killed in the blast. The nearly 7,500-page chargesheet also names the alleged suicide bomber, Umar-un-Nabi (deceased), as an accused.
According to the NIA, Umar-un-Nabi masterminded the car bomb explosion outside the Red Fort on November 10, 2025, and was killed in the blast.
The agency arrested accused Danish from Srinagar. According to the NIA, he carried out technical modifications to drones and attempted to prepare rockets before the car bomb attack. The agency alleged that Danish played a key role alongside Umar-un-Nabi in executing the conspiracy.
The NIA further stated that Danish, a graduate in Political Science, was allegedly radicalised and groomed by Umar-un-Nabi to become a suicide attacker. According to the investigation, he agreed in October 2024 to meet members of the so-called Doctor Module at a mosque in Kulgam, after which he was taken to Al-Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana, where he stayed as part of the alleged conspiracy.
The explosion occurred on November 10, 2025, when an i10 car exploded near the Red Fort in Delhi. According to the NIA, the vehicle involved in the blast was registered in the name of Aamir Rashid Ali.
