New Delhi, 27 July (H.S.): Congress President has appointed state presidents of the party's Vichar Vibhag (Thought Department) in four states — Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Puducherry. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) announced on Monday that the appointments would come into effect immediately.

According to a statement issued by the AICC, Thodeti Sandeep Eshwar has been appointed as the state president of Vichar Vibhag in Andhra Pradesh, X. Chopika Sumi in Nagaland, Oinam Roman Singh in Manipur, and D. Pradeesh Irudayaraj in Puducherry.

AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal announced the appointments, stating that the newly appointed office-bearers would take charge with immediate effect.
