Prayagraj, 27 July (HS): Under the aegis of Headquarters

Madhya Bharat Area and in pursuance of the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, 508

Army Base Workshop, Cheoki, has successfully completed the overhaul of the

first Tatra 6x6 Euro Variant vehicle of Indian Army. The achievement marks

another significant milestone in strengthening the Indian Army’s indigenous

maintenance capabilities.

The accomplishment comes close on the heels of the

successful overhaul of the first Tatra 8x8 Euro Variant vehicle by the workshop

last month. The successful overhaul of Euro Variant vehicles reflects the

workshop’s growing expertise in undertaking complex technical tasks on modern

military platforms.

This milestone highlights the technical proficiency and

innovation of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) in

sustaining critical military equipment. It underscores the Indian Army’s

commitment to enhancing operational readiness through self-reliant and

indigenous maintenance solutions.

The achievement stands as a testament to the professionalism

and technical excellence of the personnel of 508 Army Base Workshop and further

strengthens the Indian Army’s resolve to continuously advance indigenous

capabilities in defence maintenance and long-term equipment sustenance,

informed Wg Cdr Debartho Dhar, Regional PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of

Defence, Prayagraj Region.
