
Prayagraj, 27 July (HS): Under the aegis of Headquarters
Madhya Bharat Area and in pursuance of the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, 508
Army Base Workshop, Cheoki, has successfully completed the overhaul of the
first Tatra 6x6 Euro Variant vehicle of Indian Army. The achievement marks
another significant milestone in strengthening the Indian Army’s indigenous
maintenance capabilities.
The accomplishment comes close on the heels of the
successful overhaul of the first Tatra 8x8 Euro Variant vehicle by the workshop
last month. The successful overhaul of Euro Variant vehicles reflects the
workshop’s growing expertise in undertaking complex technical tasks on modern
military platforms.
This milestone highlights the technical proficiency and
innovation of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) in
sustaining critical military equipment. It underscores the Indian Army’s
commitment to enhancing operational readiness through self-reliant and
indigenous maintenance solutions.
The achievement stands as a testament to the professionalism
and technical excellence of the personnel of 508 Army Base Workshop and further
strengthens the Indian Army’s resolve to continuously advance indigenous
capabilities in defence maintenance and long-term equipment sustenance,
