Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna inspected the

basic civic amenities by visiting the service colonies and other areas in the

Ramnagar area of Varanasi district on Saturday morning. Minister in charge

Suresh Khanna said that due to rain in Ramnagar, there is waterlogging and mud

at many places. To resolve this, it is necessary for the Municipal Corporation

officials to carry out regular inspections and get the cleanliness work done.

Garbage disposal should be completed on time. He directed the Municipal

Commissioner to pay special attention to the Ramnagar area.

During this visit, Minister Suresh Khanna held cordial conversations with

Cantt MLA Saurabh Srivastava and local citizens to learn about the area's

problems. Taking some time out from his inspection, Minister Suresh Khanna paid

his humble tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding

his statue.
