New Delhi, 24 July (H.S.): India and Israel have concluded the second round of negotiations for the proposed India-Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The four-day talks were held at Vanijya Bhawan in New Delhi from July 20 to 23, during which both sides held detailed discussions on all areas to work towards a balanced and comprehensive agreement.

During the negotiations held at Vanijya Bhawan, representatives from both countries discussed various aspects of the proposed agreement in detail and continued efforts towards achieving an FTA that is balanced, comprehensive and mutually beneficial.

The Ministry stated that the ‘Terms of Reference’ (ToR), signed in November 2025, continue to provide a structured framework for discussions on identified areas aimed at strengthening bilateral trade, economic cooperation and overall economic partnership between the two countries.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to work towards concluding a balanced, comprehensive and mutually beneficial FTA at the earliest. The agreement is expected to further deepen bilateral trade, investment and economic ties between India and Israel.

The total trade between India and Israel stood at USD 3.93 billion during the financial year 2025-26. Both countries have strong potential for complementarity across several sectors, and the proposed FTA is expected to create significant opportunities to enhance bilateral trade, investment and economic integration.
