Guwahati, 23 July (HS): The India Meteorological Department's Regional Meteorological Centre at Borjhar has forecast widespread rainfall across Assam and several other Northeastern states till July 26.

According to the weather office, the region is likely to witness heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over the next few days. Residents have been advised to remain alert as the active monsoon conditions may trigger waterlogging and localized disruptions in vulnerable areas.------------
