Guwahati, 23 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said the impact of the cloudburst that occurred in neighbouring Nagaland and its role in the prevailing flood situation will be scientifically examined. The Chief Minister was talking to media persons after visiting the damaged imbankment in Jorhat last night.
He stated that once the floodwaters recede, the affected region will be studied using satellite imagery to determine the actual cause and assess the overall impact of the cloudburst. The Chief Minister said the satellite-based analysis would help experts carry out a detailed scientific assessment of the entire area and better understand the factors behind the disaster.-----------
