New Delhi, 22 July (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared a Subhashitam (a Sanskrit maxim) on social media, highlighting the qualities that define an ideal and truly accomplished individual.

Sharing the verse on X, Prime Minister Modi said that a person’s character is reflected not only through personal achievements but also through the fulfilment of responsibilities towards society, friends, and the nation.

The *Subhashitam* shared by the Prime Minister reads:

“परकार्येषु युक्तात्मा स्वकार्ये क्षिप्रसाधनम्।

सुहृत्कार्येषु निर्वृत्ती राजकार्येषु विक्रमः।।

The verse conveys that a person who remains fully committed and dedicated while helping others, completes personal responsibilities with efficiency and promptness, fulfils the needs of friends selflessly, and demonstrates courage, determination, and dedication while carrying out duties towards the nation is considered truly noble and ideal in the real sense.

The Prime Minister’s message emphasised the importance of selflessness, efficiency, commitment and public responsibility as key qualities of an exemplary individual.
