Mon (Nagaland), 19 July (HS): A cloudburst triggered flash floods in Nagaland's Mon district on Sunday, causing widespread devastation and leaving four women missing.

According to reports, the sudden surge of floodwaters swept away the houses of 11 families in the affected area. The powerful current also washed away four women near a stream flowing beside an Assam Rifles camp.

Rescue teams comprising personnel from the Assam Rifles, the Mon district administration and Nagaland Police have launched an intensive search operation. However, the four missing women had not been traced till the filing of this report.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as rescue and relief efforts continue in the affected areas.----------
