
Prayagraj, 20 July (HS): The eighth day of the Combined
Annual Training Camp (CATC-69) of 15 UP Battalion NCC was marked by competitive
spirit and intensive military training as cadets participated in various
competitions while continuing their preparation for higher-level NCC events. One
of the major highlights of the day was the Final Drill Contingent Competition,
in which participating contingents demonstrated exceptional standards of drill,
synchronization, discipline, turnout, and command. The competition reflected
the rigorous training imparted during the camp and the high level of motivation
among the cadets.
Simultaneously, the Quarter Guard Competition was conducted,
where cadets were assessed on ceremonial standards, smart turnout, weapon
handling, alertness, and overall military bearing. The event witnessed
enthusiastic participation and healthy competition among the contingents. Training
and practice sessions for the Inter Group Competition (IGC) Thal Sainik Camp
(TSC) Team continued with full intensity. Selected cadets underwent focused
coaching to further improve their skills and prepare for the forthcoming
competitions.
The camp also continued its emphasis on modern technology,
with cadets undergoing drone training to enhance their understanding of drone
operations and their applications in defence and disaster management. The final
batch of live firing practice was also successfully conducted under the
supervision of qualified instructors, ensuring that all cadets received
practical exposure to safe weapon handling and marksmanship.
Commanding Officer Col. Ritu Srivastava Rawat informed the
press that the camp has successfully combined conventional military training
with modern technological learning, helping cadets develop discipline,
confidence, leadership qualities, and technical competence. She appreciated the
dedication shown by the cadets throughout the training and wished the IGC TSC
