
Latur, 16 July (HS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has strongly objected
to bail application of Shivraj Motegaonkar, the mani accused in NEET-UG paper
leakage racket. CBI told the special court that owner of a coaching class,
Motegaonkar purchased Chemistry Question paper for Rs 5 lakh. He obtained the
question paper through another accused a chemistry teacher P V Kulkarni.
Motegaonkar’s son was taking tuition in Kulkarni’s coaching classes.
CBI
seized the money based on the statement of another accused Manoj Bhagwar
Shirure.
The
question paper was leaked ten days before the examination on May 3. Motegaonkar’s
mobile had 132 questions of which 111 matched with the master question set of
the National Testing Agency.
So
far 13 persons have been arrested in connection with the paper leakage racket
from Pune, Latur and other places. Following detection of paper leakage the
examination was cancelled on May 12. The examination was against conducted on
June 21.
