New Delhi, 12 July (H.S.): Gold and silver prices continued to weaken in the domestic bullion market on Sunday, with both precious metals registering significant declines. Except in Chennai, gold prices fell by ₹460 to ₹480 per 10 grams across most major bullion markets in the country. In Chennai, the yellow metal declined by ₹510 to ₹560 per 10 grams. Silver also witnessed a sharp fall of ₹5,100 per kilogram.

Following the latest decline, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,44,330 and ₹1,45,090 per 10 grams across most bullion markets, while 22-carat gold was priced between ₹1,32,300 and ₹1,33,000 per 10 grams. In Delhi, silver was trading at ₹2,35,000 per kilogram after the day's decline.

On a weekly basis, both precious metals recorded substantial losses. During the past week's trading, 24-carat gold declined by as much as ₹4,370 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold fell by up to ₹4,000 per 10 grams. Silver also ended the week lower despite intraday fluctuations, losing as much as ₹15,000 per kilogram.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,44,480 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,450 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,330 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,300 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, retail prices stood at ₹1,44,380 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,32,350 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.

Among other major cities, Chennai recorded the highest prices, with 24-carat gold selling at ₹1,45,090 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,33,000 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,44,330 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,300 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was available at ₹1,44,380 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,32,350 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,44,480 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,450 per 10 grams. Patna recorded prices of ₹1,44,380 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,32,350 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold. In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,480 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,450 per 10 grams.

Similar weakness was also seen in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,330 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,300 per 10 grams.
