'Every skill getting respect, every youth to get
employment': Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal
'Zero Poverty': Special priority for youth and persons with
disabilities, transparent registration through QR code
Lucknow, 11 July (HS): To implement Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath's resolve of 'Skill to every hand, employment to every skill', Uttar
Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) is organizing massive state-level
employment fairs in 74 districts of the state on July 13 and 14 on the occasion
of World Youth Skills Day.
Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge)
for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, said that in
the last nine years, the Yogi government has made skill development a new
identity for Uttar Pradesh. Today, youth trained in Uttar Pradesh's ITI and
Skill Centers are working in renowned companies in India and abroad. By
organizing employment fairs simultaneously in 74 districts on World Youth
Skills Day, we are taking a big step toward the goal of Respect for every
skill, employment for every youth.
Minister Agarwal said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
has directed that youth from extremely poor families and persons with disabilities
identified under the Zero Poverty Campaign be given special
priority at the employment fair. The Yogi government's goal is to provide
employment to the lowest-income youth. This fair is a continuation of that
commitment.
UPSDM Mission Director Pulkit Khare stated that these job
fairs will be organized at the district level in coordination with the Chief
Development Officer (CDO) and the District Coordinator/MIS Manager of the Skill
Development Mission. All district magistrates have been instructed to select
the venue, invite private industries/companies, and prepare a list of trained
youth. Interested youth can obtain information regarding the date, time, and
location of the job fair from their district's ITI.
The Mission Director stated that any youth from Uttar
Pradesh can participate in this employment fair. Opportunities will be
available for those trained under UPSDM, DDU-GKY, and 'Project Praveen,' as
well as those who have completed formal education. Youth from the 'Zero Poverty
Campaign' will be given special priority.
Ramps, accessible transportation, and other necessary
facilities for the disabled will be ensured at all fair sites. QR codes will be
installed at fair sites to ensure transparency in registration and
arrangements. Nodal officers and adequate police force will be deployed for
security. Immediately after the successful completion of the fair, each
district will be required to send a final report of selected and appointed
youth to Mission Headquarters.
