Guwahati, 01 July (HS): The first Budget Session of the 16th Assam Legislative Assembly is scheduled to commence on July 6, 2026, following its summons by the Governor. The proceedings will begin at 9:30 am in the Assembly Chamber at Dispur.

The session will continue until July 31. The state government is slated to present the full Budget for the financial year 2026–27 on July 10.

The opening day will be devoted to preliminary legislative business, including obituary references, laying of official reports on the table of the House and the introduction of government bills.
