
Jammu, 01 July (H.S.): Seven persons were injured when a passenger bus from Jammu to Udhampur skidded off the road and rolled on to its side after a tyre burst.Geographic Reference
The accident took place in Mand area, around 5 PM as driver lost control over the bus after tyre burst. SHO, Rehambal, Inspector Sumit Magotra along with Police team shifted the injured persons to PHC Tikri for treatment.
The injured were identified as Parkasho Devi (50), wife of Tara Chand of Jammu; Kamla Devi (50), wife of Bittu Ram of Jammu; Polli Devi (45), wife of Sunil Kumar of Falata; Ranjeet Singh (37), son of Rattan Chand of Kishanpur; Bablu Sharma (35), son of Sansar Chand of Kathua; Prikishit Sharma (14), son of Sunil Kumar of Jammu Bagh-e-Bahu; Jeeto Devi (46), wife of Kaku Ram of Jammu and Parkasho Devi, Kamla Devi and Jeeto Devi were referred to GMC Jammu.
After learning about the accident, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, who represents Udhampur-Kathua-Doda in the Lok Sabha, spoke to Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa and issued necessary instructions for ensuring best possible medical treatment to the injured persons.
