Bhubaneswar, 08 June (H.S.): With the Panchayat Elections drawing closer, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has intensified its organisational preparations by convening a high-level meeting on June 10 at its state headquarters, Sankha Bhawan, in Bhubaneswar.
According to a press release issued by the party, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 4 pm. All leaders who contested the recent General Elections as BJD candidates or officially nominated party representatives have been directed to attend the gathering.
BJD president Naveen Patnaik has instructed all concerned leaders to remain present without exception. The meeting is expected to focus on a comprehensive review of the party’s electoral performance, organisational affairs, and future strategy.
Sources within the party said discussions will also cover the implementation of the SIR programme announced earlier, the formation of organisational committees at block and municipal levels, and the roadmap for upcoming party activities.
The meeting is likely to provide leaders with an opportunity to interact directly with the party president and share feedback on local political developments and organisational challenges. The party leadership is expected to assess the ground-level situation across different regions and seek suggestions for strengthening its outreach and cadre network.
