Beed, 06 June (HS):

Three members of a family from Beed died in a LPG cylinder blast in Kharadi

region of Pune. Two others of the same family received burn injuries. The gas

leaked while changing the cylinder and when attempt to throw it out from the

gallery of the first floor apartment, it blasted. Vishnu Munjaji Gite (60),

Pandurang Vishnu Gite (35) and Vrundavani Vishnu Gite (55) suffered serious

burn injuries. Rajeshri Pandurang Gite and Noharika Pandurang Gite (5) suffered

minor injuries, as they were in bathroom.

Firefighters from

Kharadi, Yerwada and Dhanori rushed to the site and brought the fire under

control. The injured were rushed to a hospital, where they succumbed to the

injuries. The furniture, electronic goods and roof were damaged in the fire.

Further investigation was in progress.
