ST. PETERSBURG, June 4 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Rodney Mims Cook Jr, chairman of the US Commission of Fine Arts and the lead US delegate at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), said on Thursday that many excellent ideas were raised during the Russia-US panel discussion.

What I'd like to say is, many, many great ideas have been expressed around the table... many good ideas around the table, Cook said at the conclusion of the Russia-US: A Dialogue of Cultures event at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Among the ideas floated during the roundtable session was a proposal from Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova for US delegates to take part in the St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum, which will take place in the autumn. She also expressed hope that US filmmakers would visit Russia to participate in film festivals.

The 2026 SPIEF is taking place from June 3-6. RIA Novosti is the general information partner of the forum.
