New Delhi, 30 June (H.S.): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls commenced across Delhi on Tuesday. As part of the exercise, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have begun visiting households across the national capital to distribute enumeration forms to eligible voters. The distribution process will continue until July 29.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta submitted the duly filled enumeration forms for herself and her family under the campaign.

In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister urged all eligible voters in Delhi to actively participate in this important initiative aimed at strengthening democracy. She appealed to voters to complete their enumeration forms on time and submit them to their respective Booth Level Officers.

The Chief Minister said that an accurate and updated electoral roll forms the foundation of a strong democracy. She called upon citizens to fulfil their responsibility by remaining aware of their voting rights and ensuring their participation in this democratic exercise.

It is noteworthy that Booth Level Officers have begun the door-to-door distribution of enumeration forms to all eligible voters across Delhi from Tuesday. The exercise will continue until July 29.

The draft electoral roll will be published on August 5. Thereafter, voters will be given time from August 5 to September 4 to file claims and objections regarding the draft list. The disposal of all claims and objections will be carried out between August 5 and October 3.

The final electoral roll will be published on October 7.
