
Guwahati, 03 June (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held an extensive series of meetings with senior Union ministers during his three-day visit to New Delhi, focusing on the state's ongoing and upcoming development projects.
According to Union Minister Pabitra Margherita, the Chief Minister participated in more than 20 meetings with top leaders of the Central Government, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
The discussions primarily revolved around Assam’s overall development agenda, with special emphasis on the progress of ongoing projects and the planning and implementation of future initiatives across various sectors.
Margherita stated that Dr. Sarma remains actively engaged in securing greater support and coordination from the Centre to accelerate Assam’s growth and infrastructure development. The meetings are expected to strengthen cooperation between the state and the Union Government and facilitate the timely execution of key projects in Assam.-----------
