
Guwahati, 29 June (HS): The BJP Assam Pradesh on Monday reiterated that the Centre and the Assam Government are extending all possible assistance to the flood-affected people of Dhemaji district, assuring that no citizen will be left behind during the crisis.
In a press statement, BJP State Media Panelist Priyanka Tamuli said the governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are committed to ensuring relief, rescue and rehabilitation in the flood-ravaged areas. She noted that Amit Shah has assured the State Government of full support after reviewing the flood situation.
The party stated that Assam Ministers Keshab Mahanta and Sushanta Borgohain, along with MPs and MLAs, visited the affected areas to assess the situation. The government has announced financial assistance of ₹1.20 lakh families whose houses were completelyz damaged, while SDRF and NDRF teams continue rescue operations and relief measures across the affected regions.------------
