New Delhi, 28 June (H.S.): India on Sunday firmly rejected Pakistan's allegations linking it to the recent incident in Karachi, describing the claims as baseless and urging Islamabad to take credible action against the terrorist infrastructure operating within its own territory.
Responding to media queries, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India had taken note of reports from Pakistan regarding the recent Karachi incident, in which unfounded allegations had been levelled against New Delhi.
We categorically reject these baseless allegations, Jaiswal said, adding that instead of pointing fingers at others, Pakistan should engage in introspection and take credible action against the terrorist infrastructure that continues to exist within its own territory.
He further stated that Pakistan should also abandon its long-standing practice of using terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
The remarks came after Pakistan attempted to link India to the recent attack in Karachi, an allegation that New Delhi has unequivocally dismissed as unfounded.
