
Ayodhya, June 27 (HS): The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has expressed concern over the recent incidents related to the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya and assured devotees that all offerings and valuables personally entrusted to the Trust remain safe. It also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a fair investigation into the matter.
In a press statement, the Trust said it had received representations from its General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra regarding the recent developments. It said the matter would be taken up for consideration at the Trust's forthcoming meeting.
The Trust assured devotees who had personally handed over silver bricks, ornaments and other offerings for Lord Ram through authorised Trust officials that all such items are safe and properly accounted for.
Referring to allegations relating to temple donations, the Trust said an FIR had been registered on the basis of the interim report submitted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government, and legal proceedings are underway.
The Trust said it was committed to ensuring that such incidents do not recur and that those responsible are dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
Appealing to devotees, the Trust urged the public not to be misled by what it described as false and baseless rumours and requested people not to circulate unverified information.
Expressing confidence in the outcome of the investigation, the Trust said the truth would ultimately prevail and that the uninterrupted tradition of devotion to Lord Ram would continue.
