Chandigarh, 26 June (H.S.): The Punjab Government has once again revised the working hours of government offices and institutions. According to a letter issued by the Personnel Department, all government offices and institutions of Punjab, including those located in Chandigarh, will function from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM from July 1, 2026.

Earlier, in view of the summer season, the office timings were changed to 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM from May 25, 2026. The government has now withdrawn that order and directed offices to operate as per the previous schedule.

The letter states that these instructions have been issued in public interest. Orders have been sent to all heads of departments, divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners for implementation.
