Gold prices continued to weaken in domestic bullion markets during early trade on Thursday, with most major cities witnessing a decline ranging from ₹250 to ₹270 per 10 grams. Chennai, however, recorded a significantly sharper correction, with gold prices falling by as much as ₹2,100 to ₹2,290 per 10 grams. Silver prices remained unchanged across key markets.

Following the decline, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,44,320 and ₹1,45,630 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of ₹1,32,290 to ₹1,33,490 per 10 grams.

As silver prices remained stable, the precious metal continued to trade at ₹2,44,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In the national capital, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,44,470 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,440 per 10 grams.

In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,320 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at ₹1,32,290 per 10 grams.

Similarly, in Ahmedabad, retail prices of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,44,370 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,340 per 10 grams.

Among other major markets, Chennai recorded the highest prices despite a sharp decline, with 24-carat gold trading at ₹1,45,630 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,33,490 per 10 grams.

In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,320 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,32,290 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, prices stood at ₹1,44,370 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1,32,340 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹1,44,470 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,440 per 10 grams. Similar rates prevailed in Lucknow, where 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹1,44,470 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,32,440 per 10 grams.

In Patna, 24-carat gold was available at ₹1,44,370 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,32,340 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also declined in southern and eastern markets, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar. In all three cities, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,44,320 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,32,290 per 10 grams.

Despite the broad-based decline in gold prices, silver remained stable across major bullion centres, reflecting limited movement in the domestic precious metals market during the day’s opening trade.
