
Guwahati, 21 June (HS): Extensive preparations are underway in Guwahati ahead of the proposed visit of the Prime Minister of Japan to Assam on July 1. The high-profile visit is expected to strengthen economic and strategic ties between Japan and the northeastern region.
According to sources, the Japanese Prime Minister will be accompanied by more than 60 senior executives and representatives from leading Japanese companies. The delegation is expected to explore investment opportunities and hold discussions on key development projects in the state.
To welcome the foreign dignitaries, arrangements are being made across the city. A special stage has been constructed near the LGBI airport, where various cultural groups will present traditional performances showcasing Assam’s rich heritage and cultural diversity.
Security and logistical preparations are also being intensified to ensure the smooth conduct of the visit, which is being viewed as a significant event for Assam's international engagement and investment prospects.-----------
