
Lucknow, 20 June (HS): The Prime Minister handed the 23rd
payment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, benefiting over 21.7 million
farmers in Uttar Pradesh and putting Rs. 4,352.40 crore into their accounts.
Under the initiative, qualifying farmers get Rs. 6,000 per year in three equal
payments.
UP CM remarked in a post on X, “The prosperity and
well-being of our food provider farmers is the topmost priority of the
double-engine government under the illustrious leadership of the Hon'ble Prime
Minister Shri @narendramodi ji. To fulfill this very resolve, today Prime
Minister ji has transferred an amount exceeding Rs.18,880 crore to more than
9.44 crore farmers across the country as the 23rd installment of the 'Pradhan
Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' from West Bengal. Among these, more than 2.17 crore
farmers from Uttar Pradesh have also benefited, with Rs. 4,352.40 crore
directly credited to their accounts. This amount is not merely financial
assistance, but a powerful symbol of the government's unwavering commitment to
the hard work, honor, and prosperity of our food providers. On behalf of all
farmer brothers and sisters of Uttar Pradesh, heartfelt gratitude to Prime
Minister ji for this historic gift.”
