New Delhi, 18 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met the top executives of several leading global companies during his visit to France and held discussions on investment opportunities and business expansion plans in India.

The Prime Minister met Benoit Bazin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Saint-Gobain, a global leader in construction materials. Their discussions focused on opportunities in the construction materials and infrastructure sectors, with particular emphasis on sustainable development. Modi appreciated Saint-Gobain's strong presence and continued investments in India, noting that they have contributed to job creation and generated new opportunities for Indian youth. Bazin briefed the Prime Minister on the company's future investment and expansion plans in the country.

Modi also met Martin Sion, CEO of Alstom, a leading company in the rail transport and mobility sector. The two discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in railway modernisation and mobility. The Prime Minister praised Alstom's investments and manufacturing operations in India, stating that they have accelerated the development of the country's railway sector while creating employment opportunities. Sion informed Modi about the company's plans for further expansion and additional investments in India.

In addition, the Prime Minister met Arthur Mensch, Co-founder and CEO of Mistral AI, one of the leading companies in the field of artificial intelligence. During the meeting, Modi highlighted the vast opportunities offered by India's rapidly expanding AI ecosystem. Arthur Mensch expressed strong interest in deepening collaboration with India and partnering with Indian companies to promote innovation and expand artificial intelligence capabilities.
