MOSCOW, June 17 (HS/RIA Novosti) - The European Union will disburse the first tranche of the 90 billion euro ($103.5 billion) loan for Ukraine next week, EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security Maros Sefcovic said on Wednesday.
The leaders will discuss [at tomorrow's summit] the EU's continued support for Ukraine, notably the work on implementing the Ukraine support loan with the first tranche of 3.2 billion euros expected to be disbursed already next week, Sefcovic said at an EU parliamentary session.
On May 20, European Commissioner for Economic Affairs Valdis Dombrovskis said that the Commission and Ukraine had signed a memorandum of understanding to provide Kiev with 90 billion euros in loans in 2026 and 2027.
