New Delhi, 17 June (H.S.): The Ministry of Coal will organise its third roadshow on Thursday in Mumbai under the Scheme for Promotion of Coal and Lignite Gasification Projects. The primary objective of the initiative is to enhance industry participation and strengthen India's energy security by reducing dependence on imported natural gas and ammonia.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry said that Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy will attend the event as the Chief Guest. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be the Guest of Honour, while Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey will participate as the Distinguished Guest.

In a post on X, the Ministry said that following the encouraging response received at the previous roadshows held in New Delhi and Hyderabad, the Mumbai edition is expected to bring together leading industry stakeholders, investors, technology providers, policymakers, representatives from the coal sector, financial institutions, and state government officials. The participants will deliberate on emerging opportunities in coal gasification and support the nation's vision for cleaner and more sustainable utilisation of coal resources.
