Rain brings brief relief in Delhi; temperatures likely to rise again
New Delhi, 16 June (HS): Rain accompanied by gusty winds brought relief from heat and humidity in parts of Delhi-NCR on Monday, but temperatures are expected to rise again in the coming days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

New Delhi, 16 June (HS): Rain accompanied by gusty winds brought relief from heat and humidity in parts of Delhi-NCR on Monday, but temperatures are expected to rise again in the coming days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather department said the change in weather was caused by a western disturbance affecting the Himalayan region. The impact of the system is expected to weaken gradually from Tuesday.

The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies, light rain and thunderstorms at isolated places in the national capital on Tuesday. Maximum temperatures are likely to remain between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures are expected to be between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius.

According to the IMD, temperatures across Delhi dipped slightly following the rainfall, which was accompanied by strong winds in several areas.
