Hyderabad, 14 June (H.S.): Members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), along with representatives of several other organisations, staged a protest at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park in Hyderabad on Sunday, raising concerns over alleged irregularities in examinations and evaluation systems.
The protesters demanded greater transparency in recruitment and entrance examinations and called for accountability over alleged examination-related lapses. They also sought reforms aimed at ensuring fairness in examination and assessment processes.
Social activist Sonam Wangchuk, who addressed the gathering, said the movement was intended to create awareness about issues affecting students and youth and to encourage reforms in the education sector.
He said the campaign was focused on examination-related concerns and the need to strengthen systems governing competitive examinations and recruitment processes.
Police officials said permission had been granted for the protest and that the programme concluded peacefully.
The Hyderabad protest was part of a series of demonstrations announced by the Cockroach Janta Party in different cities on issues related to education and examinations.
