New Delhi, 12 June (H.S.): Tata Motors has announced a price increase of up to 1.5 per cent across its passenger vehicle range, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) models and electric vehicles (EVs), effective from July 1, 2026.

In a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges on Friday, the company stated that the price revision is being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and persistent inflationary pressures affecting the automotive industry.

The company said, “This price adjustment is being implemented to partially balance the effects of increasing raw material costs and continued inflation. The extent of the increase will vary depending on the model and variant.”

In a separate statement, Tata Motors noted that its passenger vehicle division has been absorbing a substantial portion of the cost escalation. However, due to sustained pressure on operating expenses, a part of the increased costs is being passed on to customers through the latest price revision.

According to the company, the price hike will differ across various models and variants within its passenger vehicle portfolio. The revised prices will come into effect from July 1, 2026.

The announcement follows ongoing cost pressures faced by automobile manufacturers, including higher raw material prices and broader inflationary trends, prompting companies across the sector to review their pricing strategies while attempting to balance profitability and customer affordability.
