Bhubaneswar, 11 June (H.S.): A major rail mishap was narrowly avoided near the Jharpada Bridge area in Bhubaneswar after two trains reportedly came face-to-face on the same stretch of track, triggering panic among passengers and railway personnel.

According to sources, one train was travelling from Bhubaneswar towards Mancheswar, while another was moving in the opposite direction from Mancheswar towards Bhubaneswar on what appeared to be the same route. The unexpected situation created alarm as both trains were seemingly on a collision course.
