
Kanpur, 11 June (HS): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)
chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday. His visit
was for a private family function. Special security arrangements were made from
the railway station to the venue in anticipation of his arrival. Mohan Bhagwat
arrived at Kanpur Central Station this morning on the Dibrugarh Rajdhani
Express. He then proceeded to the Civil Lines resting place by vehicle under
tight security. Additional police forces were deployed on the station premises
in anticipation of his arrival.
In fact, there is a wedding in the family of Dr. Neetu
Singh, the granddaughter of former regional Sanghchalak Virendrajit Singh, a
senior social worker and educationist. His daughter Vasundhara's wedding is
scheduled for June 21. A special blessing ceremony has been scheduled in Azad
Nagar today before the main wedding ceremony. The Sangh chief will attend this
blessing ceremony to offer his best wishes and blessings to the newlyweds.
Many prominent figures from social, educational, political,
and various organizations are expected to attend the event, and therefore,
security arrangements have been strengthened.
According to police officials, traffic will be controlled on
certain routes during the designated time. Heavy vehicle movement has been
restricted around the venue to ensure security arrangements and VIP movement
are not affected. The administration has appealed to the public to follow
traffic instructions and use alternative routes if necessary.
