New Delhi, 08 May (H.S.): Author and social worker Dr. Shobha Vijender asserted that the ideas and endeavors emerging from the RSS ideology are entirely women-centric, as nation-building remains impossible without women's contributions to family, society, and the nation. She made these remarks during an insightful discussion on ‘Shatayu Sangh and Women’s Participation’.

Organized on Thursday at the Hall of Harmony, Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai, with support from Kamala Trust, Dr. Vijender elaborated that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Rashtra Sevika Samiti are dedicated to nation-building through character formation for men and women, respectively, while remaining steadfast in their vision of India's ultimate glory.

Her book ‘Shatayu Sangh and Women’s Participation’ substantiates, through authenticated documents, that women's role in the Sangh transcends mere participation, embodying the forms of mother, motherland, and universal mother. She concluded that in the 21st century, both men and women must invigorate their inner selves.

Key Speakers Inspire on Women's Leadership

Varsha Tavade and Nidarshana Gowani chaired the event. Sharing her journey, Tavade recounted her connection to RSS ideals via Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, gradually embracing the nation as paramount. She emphasized that the Sangh rejects opposing men-women binaries, viewing them as complementary.

Nidarshana Gowani emphasized women's participation as vital across organizations, akin to their adept handling of household duties with full dedication in organizational roles. She shared inspirational experiences from the Sangh, raising awareness on feminine power, collaboration, and organizational values.

Chief speaker Bhagyashree (Chanda) Sathye, Samiti Pracharak and All-India Co-Convenor of Women's Coordination, urged serious deliberation on women's participation and the Sangh's contributions to women's work. She highlighted women's direct and indirect involvement, referencing Emergency-era bans, struggles, societal roles, and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram's efforts.

Chief guest Pradeep Joshi stated the Sangh needs no publicity, critiquing a writer's description as an organization hard to understand amid widespread misconceptions, positioning the book as a strong rebuttal. Stressing motherly power's pivotal role in every Sangh endeavor, he described it as an entity uniting the entire society.

Social activist and thinker Geeta Tai Gunde received a heartfelt felicitation. Her address focused on women's participation and decision-making prowess, noting their ascent to high posts yet underrepresentation in politics and policymaking. Positions alone suffice not; women must assertively voice ideas and contributions. She stressed building societal trust in women's judgment and their imperative to hone capabilities for leadership.
