06 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Varanasi
on Wednesday. His helicopter from Gorakhpur landed at the helipad in the police
lines, where he was welcomed by BJP officials, public representatives, and
administrative officers already present. From the police line, the Chief
Minister came to the Circuit House in a convoy of vehicles under tight
security. After staying here for some time, he attended the auspicious ceremony
organized at the house of Dr. Rajiv Krishna, Professor of Economics at Uday
Pratap College, Bhojubir.
Here,
after talking to the family members for some time, the Chief Minister also took
a group photo with them. After this, he reached the Kalbhairav temple for
darshan and puja. After the darshan and puja as per the rituals in the temple,
the Chief Minister also performed the aarti of Baba. From the Kalbhairav
temple, the Chief Minister will go to Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple for
darshan and puja. During his stay in the city, the Chief Minister will review
the development works at the Circuit House and then depart to Prayagraj.
It
is noteworthy that the Chief Minister was scheduled to visit Kashi on Tuesday
evening. However, his visit was canceled due to a delay in the Shikshamitra cheque
distribution program in Gorakhpur. In anticipation of the Chief Minister's
arrival in the city, extensive security arrangements have been made, with the
venue and route designated as no-fly zones.
