New Delhi, 04 May (H.S.): Renewed hopes for US-Iran peace talks and a slight dip in international crude oil prices have imparted positive signals to global markets today. US markets closed higher in the previous session, though Dow Jones futures traded marginally lower. European indices ended mixed, while Asian bourses displayed bullish momentum across the board.

Sustained buying propelled the S&P 500 up 0.29% to close at 7,230.12. Nasdaq gained 222.13 points or 0.89%, settling at 25,114.44. Dow Jones futures, however, dipped 0.11% to 49,443.64.

European Indices Mixed

FTSE fell 0.14% to 10,363.93. In contrast, CAC rose 0.53% to 8,114.84, and DAX surged 337.82 points or 1.39% to 24,292.38.

Asian Markets Rally

Eight of nine Asian markets traded green, with Thailand's SET Composite unchanged due to a holiday. Gift Nifty advanced 0.29% to 24,216.50. Nikkei climbed 228.20 points or 0.38% to 59,513.12.

Taiwan Weighted Index jumped 1,749.80 points or 4.50% to 40,676.43. Kospi soared 284.19 points or 4.13% to 6,883.06. Hang Seng gained 429.47 points or 1.67% to 26,206; Jakarta Composite rose 0.67% to 7,003.76; Straits Times added 0.66% to 4,945.21; and Shanghai Composite edged up 0.11% to 4,112.16.
