Bhubaneswar, 31 May (H.S.): National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was held from May 29 to 31 in the sacred land of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Bhubaneswar. More than 400 karyakartas from 46 provinces across the nation participated in this important National Executive Council Meeting. During the meeting, four resolutions titled “Effective Ground-Level Implementation is Necessary to Make Educational Reforms Successful”, “Urban Maoism: A Serious Challenge in the End Phase of Armed Maoism”, “Curbing the Exploitation and Religious Conversion of Women by Organised Criminal Networks and Jihadi Elements”, and “Collective National Resolve of Restraint and Vigilance in Times of Global Uncertainty is the Need of the Hour” were unanimously adopted.

Prior to the National Executive Council Meeting, the Central Working Committee (CWC) Meeting held on May 27 passed a congratulatory resolution titled “Appreciation for the People of West Bengal for Restoring Democratic Values”. Through the meeting, ABVP also called upon Indian industry to enhance investment in Research and Development (R&D), which will accelerate the realization of the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Extensive deliberations were held on the national situation, education system, the role of youth, national security, socio-economic issues and contemporary challenges. The meeting also reviewed the decisions taken in the Akhil Bharatiya Vichar Baithak and Organisational Vichar Baithak, evaluated campaign-oriented, programmatic and organisational activities, and finalized a detailed action plan for the coming year.

To commemorate 60 glorious years of Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL), a unique National Integration Tour, “SEIL@60” programmes will be organised across the nation. In addition, year-long nationwide campaigns will be conducted on various occasions including “Screen Time to Activity Time”, 150 Years of Vande Mataram, 50 Years of Resistance to the Emergency, the 350th Balidan Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and the 650th Prakatyotsav of Sant Ravidas Ji.

ABVP National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki said, “The resolutions passed in the National Executive Council Meeting are not merely ABVP’s response to contemporary challenges, but also reflect our broader vision for building a developed, secure and self-reliant Bharat. Through this meeting, a collective resolve has been expressed to make the education system more effective and student-centric, address challenges such as Urban Maoism confronting national security, curb organised crimes and conspiracies of religious conversion targeting women, and uphold national interest amidst global uncertainties. To establish Bharat as a global leader in innovation and a knowledge-based economy, strong coordination among youth, educational institutions and industry is essential. Through this meeting, ABVP has urged Indian industry to increase investment in Research and Development and establish long-term collaboration with youth and universities. We are confident that the youth of Bharat, through their talent, innovative capabilities and national consciousness, will lead the nation to new heights, and this National Executive Council Meeting of ABVP will continue to play a guiding role in that direction.”
