
Mumbai, 26 May (HS): The Mumbai Special Court
remanded to magisterial custody to Nashik’s fraudster Ashok Kharat for 14 days.
Kharat was produced on Tuesday in the court by the Enforcement Directorate (ED)
in money laundering case.
Kharat was arrested last week by the ED in
connection with money laundering of about Rs 47 crore. He was produced in the
court on expiry of his ED custody.
Kharat is facing charges of sexual exploitation of
women and cheating. Twelve cases in this connection have been registered
against him in Nashik district. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Wada
Police in Nashik is investigating into the charges against Kharat.
