New Delhi, May 25 (H.S.): Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Monday directed all mining and exploration agencies to expedite pending mining and exploration projects during review meetings held in Bengaluru.

The Union Minister chaired high-level review meetings in Bengaluru with senior officials of the Geological Survey of India (GSI), National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM), Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM), and the Remote Sensing and Aerial Survey (RSAS) division. He instructed all mining and exploration agencies under the Ministry of Mines to accelerate pending projects and adopt a “mission-mode” approach to strengthen India’s mineral security and strategic development goals.

He further directed all organisations to work with clearly defined timelines, measurable outcomes, and enhanced accountability through a coordinated mission-mode framework.

In his address, the Minister urged all institutions to fast-track their pending projects and ensure that technology, transparency, and efficiency form the foundation of every institutional process. He said that both the Government of India and the people of the country expect speed, accountability, and clear outcomes from all agencies operating in this sector.

Reiterating his earlier instructions, he again called for structured timelines, measurable results, and greater accountability through a unified mission-mode approach. The Minister also emphasised the importance of advanced technologies, data integration, and scientific innovation in strengthening India’s exploration ecosystem.
