Jaipur, 02 May (H.S.): Delhi Capitals’ fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has been penalised for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during the 43rd match of IPL 2026. The incident occurred in the clash between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

An official IPL statement confirmed that Jamieson was found guilty of a Level‑1 offence and has been awarded one demerit point along with an official written warning. The New Zealand pacer was charged with a violation of Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials, which pertains to the use of language, actions or gestures that disparage another player or could provoke an aggressive reaction from them during the match.

The incident unfolded in the second over of Rajasthan Royals’ innings, when Jamieson dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi early.

Immediately after the dismissal, the bowler approached the batter in an aggressive manner and appeared to confront him closely, a behaviour that was deemed provocative and in breach of Article 2.5. Match referee Rajeev Seth imposed the sanction, which Jamieson has accepted without contesting.

Delhi Capitals went on to win the match by seven wickets. This is Jamieson’s first demerit‑point sanction of the season, and the charge will be recorded against his disciplinary record under the IPL’s code framework.
