
New Delhi, 15 May (H.S.): Foreign Minister Dr S. Jaishankar and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held detailed discussions in Delhi on Friday, on the sidelines of the two‑day BRICS meeting of foreign ministers.
Dr Jaishankar said on X, “Today morning, I had extensive discussions with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Delhi. We exchanged views on the situation in West Asia and its implications, as well as on bilateral issues of mutual interest.”
It is noteworthy that Foreign Minister Dr Jaishankar is chairing the BRICS meeting, which is being held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi from May 14 to 15. The theme for this year is “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainable Development.”
