On the occasion of Maharashtra and Gujarat Foundation Day, President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and top leaders along with Union Ministers extended greetings to the citizens of both states while appreciating their historical, cultural, and economic contributions.

President Droupadi Murmu congratulated Maharashtra's people in her X message, stating that this land inspires with the valor and patriotism of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Referencing great leaders like Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, she noted Maharashtra's pivotal role in national development.

On Gujarat Foundation Day, the President remarked that this land—birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Swami Dayanand Saraswati—has made significant contributions to nation-building.

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan described Gujarat as a hub of enterprise and innovation that has strengthened India's economic power. He called Maharashtra a symbol of cultural heritage and progressive thinking.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla praised Gujarat's economic and political role, stating the state has contributed significantly from the freedom struggle to modern India.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah recalled Maharashtra's historical legacy and tradition of social reforms while wishing well-being for its residents. For Gujarat, he noted the state's crucial role in nation-building.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended greetings to both states, appreciating their development journey and innovation.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge described Gujarat's entrepreneurship and historical heritage as inspirational for the nation.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi extended greetings to Maharashtra and Gujarat residents, stating their contributions to India's progress have been immensely important.
