
Guwahati, 08 April (HS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh, has appealed to voters to actively participate in the upcoming Assembly elections, urging them to cast their votes and inspire others in the “festival of democracy.”
In a press statement, party spokesperson Dr. Devajit Mahanta called upon citizens across all sections to exercise their right to vote, emphasizing its importance for ensuring Assam’s development and future. Voting for the 126-member Assembly will begin at 7:00 AM on April 9, with over 2.49 crore voters set to decide the fate of 722 candidates, as per the Election Commission of India.
Highlighting the state’s progress, Mahanta said Assam has witnessed significant transformation under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with improvements in peace, infrastructure, and overall development. He reiterated that continued public support is essential to sustain the state’s growth and achieve future goals.------------
