
Agra, 7 April (HS): On Tuesday, UP
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will unveil the Greater Agra project, a Rs. 5,142
crore endeavour that includes 10 futuristic townships on 449.65 hectares in
Raipur and Rehan Kalan. The Agra Development Authority (ADA) is developing a
project that will include ten new townships along the Inner Ring Road,
including Gomtipur m, Gangapuram, and Narmadapuram.
Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath will undertake the Greater Agra ground-breaking and
foundation-laying event. The township and its accompanying construction work
are estimated to cost Rs 5,142 crore. Yogi will inspect the planned township
model during his visit to Agra. He will also launch and set the groundwork for
a number of other district development initiatives. He will also be at
Vrindavan to celebrate Jagatguru Dwaracharya Shri Malooknath Ji Maharaj's 452nd
birth anniversary. The Agra Development Authority is developing Greater Agra as
part of the state government's 'New City Promotion Scheme' and urban
development plan. Ten contemporary residential townships will be developed on
449.65 hectares of land in the Raipur and Rehan Kalan villages. The newly
constructed townships will have well-designed parks, broad roads, reliable
energy and water supply, and all modern public facilities.
In a post on X, he
mentioned, “A new chapter of development is going to be inaugurated today on
the sacred land of Agra, which preserves its historical splendor and global
heritage. Under the Chief Minister's Urban Expansion/New City Promotion Scheme,
the ground breaking ceremony and foundation stone laying ceremony of 10
townships equipped with state-of-the-art facilities will be held in the Greater
Agra Scheme (Raipur-Rahankalan). Along with this, there will also be
inauguration and foundation stone laying of various development projects that
will give new impetus to the development of Agra district. This initiative is
an effort to preserve the heritage of Agra while connecting it with modernity,
so that the city becomes more organized, facilities increase and the lives of
the people can be improved.”
In another on X,
he stated, “Today, you will have the auspicious privilege of participating in
the 452nd Srimaluk Jayanti Festival and the Sri Sitaram Nikunj Ashtayam Leela
Festival in Mathura-Vrindavan, the sacred land of Lord Krishna. This sacred
occasion will provide new energy to the eternal cultural consciousness.”
