Guwahati, 05 April (HS): The Tai Ahom Youth Council, Assam, has strongly reacted to the proposed visit of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi to the state, raising concerns over communal politics and issuing a warning against his entry into Assam in the future.

Addressing a press conference last night, the organization criticized those who have invited Owaisi to Assam, alleging that such moves could fuel communal tensions. The council asserted that it remains firmly opposed to any form of divisive politics and cautioned against attempts to disturb social harmony in the state.

The organization further stated that it would not welcome Owaisi’s presence in Assam going forward, issuing a strong warning in this regard.

Meanwhile, the council also clarified reports circulating in a section of the media regarding the removal of its president, Diganta Tamuli, terming them as “completely false and misleading.”

In an official statement, joint secretary Deepjyoti Baruah alleged that certain vested interest groups were behind the dissemination of such fake news with the intention of misleading the public. He urged media outlets to verify facts before publishing such reports.----------
