Cooch Behar /New Delhi, 05 April (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi unleashed a blistering critique of West Bengal's Trinamool Congress (TMC) government during his rally at Ras Mela grounds here on Sunday, declaring the massive turnout a clear barometer of public fury over governance failures.

My dear brothers and sisters of Cooch Behar and North Bengal! PM Modi began, greeting the sea of BJP supporters with customary warmth. Today's rally in Cooch Behar clearly indicates the mood on the ground. Across West Bengal, there is growing anger against TMC's corruption, violence, and collapse of governance.

He accused the Mamata Banerjee administration of stifling central schemes like Ayushman Bharat, enabling illegal infiltration that threatens locals' roti, beti, maati (livelihood, daughters, soil), and presiding over scams in teacher recruitment and procurement that devastate youth and farmers.

TMC's cut-money culture and goonda raj have broken Bengal's spirit,PM Modi thundered, vowing stricter action against corruption in the next five years.

PM Modi positioned the BJP as Bengal's salvation, promising a fear-free state with transparent systems, rapid development, and priority for women, workers, and the underprivileged. Bengal wants change—Jabe TMC, Ashbe BJP! he rallied, invoking the countdown to assembly polls.

The event, kicking off BJP's 2026 campaign amid 2024 Lok Sabha setbacks in the region, drew thousands despite security amid rising political heat.
